ETFs are known for complicated management fees. In some cases, these fees can be in excess of 0.50% per year of value. Stacker Market offers free storage for the entirety of your holdings, and you can redeem and withdraw at any time, unlike ETFs. Additionally, the platform offers very transparent trading fees; 1% for gold and 1.5% for silver.

Account Opening

You have the option of opening a Stacker Market account (Personal/Corporate/Trust) using the registration form.

You must be 18 years of age to register as a Stacker Market™ account holder and to engage in any transaction on the platform. In order to engage in any transaction on the platform, you must agree to the Terms & Conditions.

To open a Personal Account, you will need to prepare the following documents/items:

Identification Document

One of the following:

  • Passport – page where your image is shown in the document
  • ID card (such as drivers license) – front and back of document

The identity verification documents are to fulfill the Know Your Customer (KYC) processes which is mandatory by law in line with Singapore’s efforts in the prevention of money laundering and terrorism financing under the Precious Stones and Precious Metals (Prevention of Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing) Act 2019 (“PSPM Act”), thus all customers are to adhere to Stacker Market™’s Account registration requirements, terms and conditions and to the following notice from the Ministry of Law Singapore.

KYC is the process of a business identifying and verifying the identity of its clients. The KYC process also uses Face Verification to fight off facial spoof attacks using Artificial Technology and Liveness Detection.

KYC is also an important part of the process of securing your account. We use 2-Factor Authentication to identify that you are the owner of your account. Keeping your funds secure is paramount.

It is highly recommended that all users provide their Identity documents as requested, as soon as you open your Stacker Market™ account. This will permit full featured access and ensures that your account will be managed with the highest level of security and compliance.

Stacker Market™ uses Face Verification to fight off facial spoof attacks using Artificial Technology and Liveness Detection, as part of the Know Your Customer (KYC) process of identifying and verifying the identity of its clients.

Along with the identity documents provided, this will permit full featured access and ensures that your account will be managed with the highest level of security and compliance.

You can submit either your Passport or National ID (such as your driving license). The submission needs to meet the following criteria:

– Please make sure that your document is not blurry.

If there are issues with the documents or details submitted during the registration process, you will receive an email indicating the issue with the initial documents submitted.

For issues related to the Identification Document, your document might not have met the following criteria.

Your Identification Document can be your Passport or National ID (such as your driving license). The submission needs to meet the following criteria to be accepted:

– Please bring your document close to the camera but make sure all contents up til the corners are fully visible.

– Please avoid reflections and glares on the document.

– Please make sure that your document is not blurry.

– Please do not cover any part of the document.

Note: The document being uploaded should have the same Document Number that you had keyed in during the registration process.

To submit the documents, you can login to your account where you will be prompted to re-upload the documents where necessary.

If there are issues with the documents or details submitted during the registration process, you will receive an email indicating the issue with the initial documents submitted.

For issues related to the Proof of Address, your document might not have met one or more of the following criteria.

Your proof of address can be your utility company bill, bank/financial institution statement, or government authority letters that contains:

– Full name of applicant

– Full address that matches the address user had input in the system

– Issuance date within last 3 months

The following are not accepted:

– Mobile phone bills

– P.O. Box addresses

 

The scan/photograph must include all four corners of the document. Only the page containing your name and address is required. You may redact your personal details such as transactions if you want to.

Do make sure that all details are legible, clear, and complete. Submissions can be in any of the following formats: jpg / jpeg / png / gif / tiff / pdf.

To submit the documents, you can login to your account where you will be prompted to re-upload the documents where necessary.

Nationality is an ethnic or racial concept.

On the other hand, citizenship is a legal or jurisdictional concept.

The nationality of a person indicates his/her place or country of birth, while the citizenship of a person is usually where they are registered as a citizen by the government of the respective country.

If you cannot find an exact match to your profession on the list of occupations you are able to select when providing your details for account opening, please select the profession nearest to yours. For example, a particular level of seniority is not provided (Senior Business Consultant – you can select Business Consultant).

Note: The button to proceed to the next page will only be enabled when the occupation is selected from the drop down menu.

When going through the KYC Process, you will come across a screen asking “What’s your document number?”.

“Document number” refers to the unique identification number on your Passport, National ID (including driving license).

Note: You will be required to include your Proof of Identity as well. This Document Number needs to match the Proof of Identity submitted.

Approval will be processed within 3 working days provided all information and documents are completed correctly.

Funds clearance will vary depending on the type of currency and the country origin of the deposit.

You will be able to utilise the funds upon funds clearance by the bank and view your available cash balance on the account Dashboard under the Top Up Account section.

Yes, you may deposit your bullion into your Stacker Market™ Account via the Asset Transfer Service (ATS) provided by Singapore Precious Metals Exchange Pte Ltd. Bullion will be verified before it is credited into your Stacker Market™ Account.

Yes. We are able to provide door-to-door pickup services from any vault via our global secured logistic service providers (Loomis, Brinks, Malca-Amit).

Costs may vary by bullion type and quantity. We will provide you a quote upon receiving details of the bullion. The fees will include:

There are no storage or maintenance fees for the bullion that you have transferred to your Stacker Market™ account.

We are able to accept physical gold and silver bullion with a minimum value of USD 1,000.00.

The verification process will be completed within 7 working days upon us receiving your bullion. All bullion will be verified and upon your approval, bullion of the equivalent weight will be credited into your account.

No. All future redemptions will be provided with newly minted bars/coins.

Redemption sizes for gold are 1 gram, 5 gram, 50 gram, 100 gram, and 1000 gram.

Trading

When you buy gold, you are buying a fractional ownership of a full 1 kg bar that is available in our vaults. On the other hand, when you buy silver, you are buying a fractional ownership of large format silver, i.e. 1 kg, 100 ozt, or 1,000 oz, which can come in the form of bars and coins.

This means that the gold/silver ozt amount of equivalent value purchased at that specific time will be allocated to you, which you can freely trade thereafter.

For example, if you place a buy order of USD 50.00 of gold, you will get the fractional ownership of a 1 kg gold bar in its equivalent ozt amount. From there, you may choose to buy more, sell it, or even transfer to other account members on the Stacker Market™ platform.

The minimum trade amount is USD 1.00 (or the ozt equivalent) and you may trade your precious metals in fractions of USD 0.01.

The maximum trade amount is USD 100,000.00, or the ozt equivalent.

You may immediately trade with your available funds/bullion.

All trades on the platform are 100% physically backed by gold and silver bullion.

There is no premium as the purchase will be at spot price; however, there will be a transaction fee of:

– 1%* for gold
– 1.5%* for silver

Storage

Your bullion are physically stored and managed by Loomis International at high security bonded storage facilities in Singapore, Hong Kong and Zurich.

There is no storage fee for all bullion traded on Stacker Market™.

All bullion in storage is audited on real time basis. Additionally, all incoming and outgoing bullion is monitored with the full oversight of local customs authorities. Physical available bullion balance is reflected real time in your account.

Our servers are equipped with the relevant firewall and encryption protocols.

All bullion are stored in highly secured vaults and are fully insured.

All trades and transfers are independently verified.

Yes. All bullion in storage are fully insured.

Viewing is not allowed. However, you can request for a redemption and choose to either self-collect or have it delivered (shipping insurance and premium manufacturing fees are applicable).

Redeem for Physical Metal

All gold and silver purchased via Stacker Market is fully allocated and backed physically, whereby you get a fractional ownership of a full 1 kg gold bar or large format silver, i.e. 100 ozt or 1,000 ozt. Such allocations directly correlates to lower (trade fees) and tighter bid/ask spreads to the end-user.

As everything is pooled, we are unable to provide the serial numbers when it is in your Stacker Market account.

In order to obtain the serial number, you will need to make a redemption of the bullion in any of the following denominations:

– 2 ounce

The equivalent weight of the bullion to be redeemed shall be debited from the available balance of the Stacker Market™ account. Each redemption will be charged an additional premium, depending on the type of bullion you choose to redeem.

No. Your bullion is allocated separately in the vault and is not linked to your prepaid/debit card account. Only sales proceeds of your bullion can be used to fund your prepaid/debit card account. You have the option to load and unload the funds from your card account. All funds in your card balance sits independently under the program manager’s trust bank account.

If you have no funds in your Stacker Market™ prepaid/debit card, you will receive the following error message:

“Your card’s issuer declined this request. Contact your bank or use a different payment method.”

To resolve this issue, before adding the Stacker Market™ prepaid/debit card to Google Pay, top up a minimum of $5 to the card. You can then proceed with setting up the card.

We do not withhold income taxes. All proceeds of bullion sales will be credited fully less fees into your account. Each account holder should consult their local Tax professional based on their respective jurisdiction.

There is no sales tax on purchases. However, all fees are subject to Singapore’s Goods and Service Tax (GST). This is a Singapore tax that only applies to the Fees from the trade and not the metal. Example:

Buy gold valued at USD 1,000.00.
Our fee is 1%, which is USD 10.00.
GST is 7% of the fee, which is USD 0.70.

Loans

Each loan is for a period of 1 (one) year. Interest rates will be quoted for each successful application.

The LTV is 60% for gold and 50% for silver.
